Academic Path
I enrolled at ENS Paris-Saclay in 2018 after passing the first-year entrance exam—PT track. I started with a first year in the SAPHIRE track, then pursued a Master 1 in MIP in 2021. I then took a gap year before enrolling in a Master’s 2 Research program in 2023.
What led you to choose ENS Paris-Saclay, and more specifically the Mechanical Engineering department?
What attracted me to ENS Paris-Saclay was, above all, the school’s reputation, but also the breadth and diversity of the programs offered.
You completed a Specialized Track Year (ASP) during your studies; what motivated you to make that choice, and what did you gain from it?
Yes, I completed the ASP as part of the Master 2 FESUP program.
My main goal was to pass the agrégation exam. I ranked 12th in the competitive exam. This opened up another door for my future career.
And after you complete your studies at ENS Paris-Saclay?
After completing my degree, I decided to pursue a Ph.D.
What is your dissertation about, and what are its objectives?
My dissertation focuses on contributing to the modeling, analysis, and simulation of pedaling in track cycling, and its objective is to precisely analyze the athlete’s movementsathlete under real-world conditions with the goal of improving their competitive performance and providing concrete decision-making tools for coaches and athletes in areas related to bike positioning and adjustments to the athlete-bike interaction.
In your opinion, what did you gain from your studies at ENS Paris-Saclay?
Rigor, scientific knowledge, and the transmission of knowledge. I didn't think the agrégation could be so useful outside of teaching.
