The LDD3 SPI, a program in engineering sciences
The program is open to students who wish to specialize in Applied Sciences in Physics and Engineering for Research and Teaching (SAPHIRE).
The program is based on a third-year dual-degree bachelor’s program in Mathematics, Physics, and Engineering Sciences at Paris-Saclay University, within the SPI ENS curriculum.
The teaching and research departments (DER) at ENS Paris-Saclay involved in this program are:
- the Civil and Environmental Engineering (GCE) DER
- the Mechanical Engineering (GM)
- the DER in Electrical and Digital Engineering Sciences (SIEN)
The program’s strengths
- a multidisciplinary program
- a solid scientific foundation,
- a selection of electives and progressive specialization during the first semester,
- thematic lectures in various disciplinary fields.
- hands-on training
- half of which is based on project-based activities, practical work, and design studios,
- introductory technology projects, a specialized project (a few examples of projects completed by students in previous years).
- A variety of career opportunities
- The natural next step after completing the program is to continue studies in one of the three DER programs. The programs offered in these three DERs are all affiliated with Paris-Saclay University.
